Question: We cannot get super salary sacrifice to calculate correctly on the Super SGC calculation. i.e. we do not want the base SGC base calculation amount to be reduced by the salary sacrifice amount. Eg $6,923.1 gross with super salary sacrifice of $50 gives a SGC calc of $635,76 when it should be $640.39
Answer: This is by design as the SGC base is reduced by the sacrifice. To bypass this setup a super type (Setup -> Payroll -> Super) called SuperPre – and set as “Pre-tax” allowance so will calculate on the original Gross instead of the Gross after the sacrifice. Then replace Super on the employee record with this type and the system will calculate at $640.38. Then setup up another Super account called SalSac and set as fixed amount, pre-tax, deduction which will deduct for tax purposes.
